I think that every time you close one of these, an automatic
mail (the above one) is sent to "owner@bugs.debian.org", which then
results in again an automatic mail to gnats? :))
Assuming that changing a report number from 'c++' to 'spam' causes
mail about that to use the subject line 'spam/xyz' (instead of C++/xyz),
a way to break out of such a loop would be to ignore mails with 'spam/xyz'
that are sent to gnats.
