You're right - normally packages are supposed to keep upstream and
Debian patches separate. I inherited the package last May, and it's
been through several maintainers in its time as a Debian package.
In the case of pmake, it's nigh-on impossible to work out which bits
came from where, so I guess we've forked it for now. I've tried
looking through the FreeBSD and NetBSD sites for guidance on who to
talk to about a couple of the changes we've made and some further
patches that would be nice, but I must admit I've forgotten about it
for quite a while.
Will, I guess you're the closest thing I'm likely to find to an
upstream maintainer - shall I send you patches?
