I’m trying to make
gcc 2.95.2. The host is sparc-sun-solaris2.6,
and the target is arm-aout. Here’s
what I did: Untar’ed the
tarball mkdir build-gcc cd build-gcc ../gcc-2.95.2/configure
–target=arm-aout –prefix=~/arm make all install One or two problems
with this. Small problem: for some
reason, the configure script changes the target from arm-aout to
arm-unknown-aout. I did a very
similar procedure with binutils (i.e. “configure” then “make all install”), and
that left the target variable as “arm-out” change the name of the target. Big problem: make fails! Here’s where the shit starts hitting the fan: _udivsi3 /bin/sh:
arm-aout-ar: not found _divsi3 /bin/sh:
arm-aout-ar: not found _umodsi3 /bin/sh:
arm-aout-ar: not found _modsi3 /bin/sh:
arm-aout-ar: not found _dvmd_tls /bin/sh:
arm-aout-ar: not found rm -f libgcc1.S mv tmplibgcc1.a
libgcc1-asm.a mv: cannot access
tmplibgcc1.a make[1]: ***
[libgcc1-asm.a] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving
directory `/home/jleblanc/arm-build/build-gcc/gcc' make: *** [all-gcc]
Error 2 Then it quits. Am I doing
something wrong? Do you need any
more information (Makefile, config cache, etc.)? Thanks! -Justin LeBlanc |
