When trying to compile the errors found in "compiler-output" occur. On my
Linux box at home this code compiles without any problem, but here at the
University there are problems with the assembler complaining that a line
is too long.
gcc -v:
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/alpha-dec-osf4.0d/2.95.2/specs
gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
Kind regards,

Numeric stability is probably not all that important when you're
guessing.
