Yes that fixes it. Thanks a lot, Zack.
(Only much later in the bootstrap do I run in a supposedly entirely different
Internal Compiler Error when compiling the C++ library, on instantiating
function abs(complex<_FLT>). I am going to post that tomorrow after looking
somewhat into it, maybe after trying a newer snapshot.)
