You disagree with Alexandre Oliva here, who writes

I will gladly resubmit a bug report if it has not been resolved after a month
or so; on the other hand, I don't want to overflow the list with redundant
traffic and pssibly annoy the developers. Maybe GNATS will help to alleviate
this problem.

I will do this, thanks! It would be good to know what the different bug
categories exactly mean, though. If you could give me a pointer to more
information about GNATS and special GCC GNATS issues (like bug types etc.)
I could provide a patch for the HTML docs.
