Just because you can come up with a simple test does not mean the fix is
simple. Just because nobody has posted an explanation of the problem does
not mean it has received no attention.

Very very very unlikely. If we make gcc-2.95.3 it will be to fix bugs that
affect the *correctness* of programs or the build procedure. This kind of
change does not meet the criteria for inclusion in a bugfix release.
