I recall seeing this bug report some months ago. I managed to
reproduce it with a recent version of f2c, so it must be in
the f2c run time library, which is common between f2c and g77.
I mailed David Gay, the maintainer of f2c, about it and he issued
an updated libf2c. I was just trying to figure out how to
integrate that into the g77-modified version of libf2c when
I spilled some beer on my laptop - which is still in repair.
Because all of the discussion is on that laptop's hard drive,
I cannot do much about the problem now.
I hope I recover in time for gcc-2.95.3.
