Hello,
I'm debugging an application that was compiled with `-g' and GDB tells that the
symbol `foo' is not defined in the current context when I issue the command
`print foo'.
We are using gcc 2.95 on an Ultra-1. The output of `uname -a' is
SunOS pfitzner 5.6 Generic_105181-12 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-1
I noticed that in gcc 2.95.1 a bug was solved that was related to the output of
dwarf debug records.
My question is: Is it necessary to upgrade our gcc installation to the latest
version and what debug format is used on a Sparc Ultra-1. Or, is the problem I
described related to GDB or GCC and how can I solve it.
I'm sorry to send this as a bug report but I found no other contact address.
Regards,
Boris Boehlen
