I'm completely confused by this, so had better not write the doc
fragment I was going to!  I thought you said after my original
suggestion that -A solved the problem.  It definitely makes the
difference I expect (the same as previous versions) with cvs 1.28.

I agree about -d.  Who wants gcc/cp anyhow? :-)
