More of these reports have come in. I can't reproduce this on my
system (m68k-next-nextstep3) with a recent snapshot of egcs. Could
you try to build one on your system to see if it has been solved in
the mean time (I only have access to a Red Hat 4.2 Alpha that can't
build recent egcs snapshots because of linker problems).
