I have applied (partly by hand) the patch sent privately by Tobias Burnus.
Apparently I did not make too many mistakes as now PR32703 pass.

It should be noted that, although PR32703 is fixed, the code that is generated is not correct. Try:

For the code g95 gives:

Traceback: not available, compile with -ftrace=frame or -ftrace=full
Fortran runtime error: Inconsistent string size in array constructor

If the results for the call to trim are the same length, the overall result is correct. OK, it's a diagnostic problem.

Why are you having so much difficulty with my patches? Have I left CR-LFs in there?
