It is not a regression and by own normal policy if it has been fixed on the mainline it has been fixed in general and only if someone can say it is ok to fix for 4.2, then it will be fixed but since it has been fixed on the mainline and this is not a regression, I am going to keep on closing this bug as fixed. Please read about what release schedules are and why they exist and why release branches should not bring in too many enhancements.
