Description Paul Martinolich 2005-06-24 19:44:59 UTC
BYTE Type Statement.

This is a VAX Fortran extension that the majority of Fortran compilers support.
The SGI/Absoft compilers treat as equivalent as INTEGER*1. The Portland
compiler treats as LOGICAL*1.
Comment 1 Andrew Pinski 2005-06-24 19:50:53 UTC
Confirmed and g77 treates it as Integer*1.
Comment 2 Francois-Xavier Coudert 2005-09-29 16:21:44 UTC
We do have a patch adding that enhancement.
Comment 3 Steven Bosscher 2005-10-23 20:45:20 UTC
Fixed by commiting Asher's patch.
Comment 4 Steven Bosscher 2005-10-23 20:46:45 UTC
Note that we have the g77 behavior: BYTE maps to INTEGER(kind=1).
