I do not see this on 3.2.3, 3.2.2, 3.0.4, 2.95.3, 3.3.1 (20030616) or the mainline (20030623) on i686-pc-linux-gnu. Could you provide the output of `gcc -v' or try a newer version of gcc like 3.3?
