We would like to bring to your attention The International Journal of Acoustics and Vibration (IJAV).  This is the refereed journal of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV).  The IIAV is a non-profit international scientific society founded in 1995 and now has a membership of 550 leading scientists and engineers in 60 countries worldwide. The primary objective of the Institute is to advance the sciences of acoustics, noise and vibration by creating an international organization that is responsive to the needs of scientists and engineers concerned with such problems. Another major activity of the institute is its annual International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV) held each year in a different country. Annual worldwide subscription price of the journal inclusive of airmail postage is just US$ 100.00 for institutions, companies and libraries and US$ 100.00 for individuals who are not IIAV members.  

The journal is published quarterly and contains a wealth of information including original, cutting edge refereed articles on many aspects of acoustics, noise, and vibration.  In addition, each issue normally includes an editorial, book reviews, and information about the annual congresses.

You can view the latest issue of the Journal and the latest Congress proceedings at the IIAV website at www.iiav.org by logging in with user name  iiavjournal@gmail.com and password  iiavoffice. Click on â??Recent IJAV and ICSV publicationsâ?? on the left side of the page about half way down to access the archives.

Libraries subscribing to the IJAV journal will receive complimentary electronic PDF versions of all the 2007 issues of IJAV and of the complete 2000 page proceedings of the 14th International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV14), held in Cairns, Australia in July, 2007.  In addition, U.S. libraries will be mailed a complimentary complete hard copy of the three-volume Third International Congress on Air- and Structure-borne Sound and Vibration held in Montreal, Canada, upon request. Other hard copies and/or electronic copies of back issues of the IJAV journal and of the past congresses are available for purchase.
