You are RIGHT. I wanted to post another message correcting that, but
after all the patch was supposed to be only a draft explaining a general
point.
If we agree that those overloads are not buying us anything useful, we
shall do the same for all the containers, add testcases (be careful with
"explicit" ;) and so on...
