[v3] doxygen style tweaks

Subject: [v3] doxygen style tweaks

I'd like to try some doxygen style tweaks to make the generated pages
less confusing.

This is the style in the updated latest collection online, which tries
to reduce duplication and visual confusion (everything can't be bold,
for instance.)

I'll wait 24 hrs for comments.
