MIPS cross compile libstdc++ issue?

        Hey folks, I'm trying to do a cross toolchain for mips-linux
from a i686-linux box. I've been able to get gcc and g++ to compile
successfully, but whenever I try to compile C++ programs, I get a bunch
of errors thrown at me:

magamo@trianna:~/CStuff/src$ mips-linux-g++ helloworld.cpp -o
helloworld
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/mips-linux/3.2/../../../../mips-linux/lib/libstdc++.so:
undefined reference to `__ctype_b'
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/mips-linux/3.2/../../../../mips-linux/lib/libstdc++.so:
undefined reference to `__ctype_toupper'
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/mips-linux/3.2/../../../../mips-linux/lib/libstdc++.so:
undefined reference to `__ctype_tolower'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

Host System setup:

Slackware Linux 8.1
Linux 2.4.19
GCC 2.95.3
Glibc 2.2.5
binutils 2.12.90.0.9

Cross Toolchain environment:

GCC 3.2
Glibc 2.3.1
binutils 2.13.90.0.10

This error comes up both with and without the ctype fix patch which I

gleaned from Gentoo Linux.

PS please CC 'magamo@ranka.2y.net' in any replies
