I suspect you are talking about Red Hat's distribution. You will
need to ask in an appropriate place for Red Hat question (there is a
comp.os.linux.redhat, I believe).

This mailing list is for libstdc++ v3, not for v2. The v2 code is no
longer actively maintained.
