Hey,
I tried to build libstdc++ 2.91, with the sources of
gcc 2.95.3, and I encountred the following problems :
i) I do the following
> /srcdir/configure --disable-shared # because I got
problem with ltconfig
> make all-target-libstdc++
Then I got :
ltconfig: unrecognized option
`--build=i586-pc-linux-gnu'
Try `ltconfig --help' for more information.
configure: error: libtool configure failed
ii) I delete by hand '--build=xxx' in
/srcdir/libstdc++/configure, both lines 2448 and 2485,
then
> rm i586-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++/config.cache
> make all-target-libstdc++
This give my :
ltconfig: unrecognized option `--add-tag=CXX'
Try `ltconfig --help' for more information.
configure: error: libtool tag configuration failed
ii) I delete by hand '--add-tag=CXX' in
/srcdir/libstdc++/configure, line 2485, then
> rm i586-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++/config.cache
> make all-target-libstdc++
This give my :
ltconfig: `../../../srcdir/libstdc++/../ltcf-cxx.sh'
does not exist
Try `ltconfig --help' for more information.
configure: error: libtool tag configuration failed
iv) It's ugly but I try to touch 'ltcf-cxx.sh'
> touch ../srcdir/ltcf-cxx.sh
> rm i586-pc-linux-gnu/libstdc++/config.cache
> make all-target-libstdc++
This finally give my :
make[3]: *** No rule to make target
`../libmath/libmath.la', needed by `libstdc++.la'.
Stop.
Is it a problem in the configuration/building process
of libstdc++-2.91 or is it me which am in fault ?
What can I do to resolve it ?
Thanks in advance,
--drkm
