Thanks! It does change the situation somewhat, but I am afraid it is not
sufficient:
checking for ranlib... (cached) ranlib
checking for a BSD compatible install... /bin/sh /sw/test/gcc/cvs/install-sh -c
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
.: Can't open ./.././configure.host: No such file or directory
gmake[1]: *** [configure-target-libstdc++-v3] Error 1
(I also tried this patch with a srcdir != objdir bootstrap, and there it
caused no problems.)
