Yes.  Cygnus employees in fact play Quake, not nethack.

I -- personally, mind you -- don't accept the first argument, since you
never know when auto{make,conf} knowledge will come in handy in those
other important things.  But I certainly understand and agree with the
second part.

It's in CVS now, so it will be in the next snapshot.  I suspect that
it may need tweaking for bugs or compat. issues with the rest of the
library, but it'll be there in one form or another.  Since you seem to
use it yourself, you might want to verify that additions we just made are
usable and not broken somehow.  (Someday I'll work up a testsuite entry,
in my copious free time.  :-)

<strstream> is required by the ISO Standard in any case, so it would
have to go in at /some/ point.  Why not now?
