Hello -
I have downloaded libstdc++ 2.91, and tried to install the library
(together with gcc 2.95.2) on a cluster of Linux PCs. I have removed from
the 2.95.2 distribution both the libio and libstdc++ directory, and
renamed libstdc++-2.91 as libstdc++.
After the commands "../gcc-2.95.2/configure --prefix=/usr/local/gcc" and
"make", all the compilers have been successfully built. I did not give a
"make bootstrap" because I already know that the 2.95.2 compilers will be
built correctly.
While trying to configure in libstdc++ I get the following error messages
from configure:

configure: error: libtool configure failed
and the C++ standard library is, of course, not built. I have currently
the same gcc 2.95.2 installed with libstdc++ 2.90.8; and the libtool
installed is:
MLO@mlinux 88 $ libtool --version
ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.3.5 (1.385.2.206 2000/05/27 11:12:27)
Any hint? I am no configure nor libtool expert :-(
