ld 2.9.5 and gcc 2.95.2 libstdc++-v3

Hi,

	We've been using gcc 2.95.2 and libstdc++-v3 with a great deal of success
for some time now. The library implementation, particularly, is impressive.

	However, recently we've been experiencing strange tool-chain problems with
either the compiler or the linker. Since the people on this list must have a
good deal of experience with this particular combination, I though maybe
someone had seen something similar:

- Exceptions missing catch blocks which should have caught them. Literally,
the exception in some builds will be caught be the default handler for no
apparent reason. Rebuilding the exact same sources can make this go away.

- Strange behaviours with inappropriately inlined functions? We don't know
if inlining is the root cause, but we have experienced problems with STL or
other IO functions causing data corruption or inexplicably failing in
certain conditions. The problems only appear rarely but consistently.

	Please email me personally if anyone can offer a hand.

Cheers
~ol
