FAQ 5.5 (included with the tarball and available on the web site) covers
the basics. A link to the HOWTO-honor-std thread in the mailing list
archives is there also:

Some initial support for automating that is done with --enable-namespaces
given to libstdc++'s configure, but you still have to rebuild libgcc
with whatever special -f* flags you end up using. (Automating /that/
would be a treat... hmmm.)
