I promised to try this out on my end:

...but had mentioned in that post that
1. Even if I built this, I wouldn't know how to test
it. What would I do to ascertain that everything is working
properly? Throw an exception and verify that ....? The
problem is that I don't know the first thing about this stuff.
2. You had said that you knew how to hack the generated
Makefiles of libstdc++, libgcc and libgcj to get them to build
as DLLs. Would you care to share your secret recipe with us :)?
