- Subject: gcj version that include javax.sound.* implementations
Hi,
I'd like to compile an application that uses javax.sound.* classes (and
Tritonus classes) to native code.
I use Debian Sarge and thus gcj version 3.4. I learned, however, that
this version of gcj is much to old.
Can anyone tell me what version of of gcj I actually need? (I assume 4.1
or 4.2?)
Second question: what is the easiest way to install this version on my
Stable Debian?
Should I try to compile it from source? I tried that already and didn't
get very far (configure: error: cannot run /bin/sh ./config.sub).
Or is it better to use apt-get (adding lines for unstable to source.list
etc)?
Thank you for your help.
regards,
Ewald
