It makes it into more logical steps:
classpath -> gcj-classpath-integration -> trunk
Benefits:
1. Can depend on svn to generate the perfect diff
2. Reduces barriers, so more people can test it
3. The branch can be independently tested, no time
constraints or any rushing.
4. Can take advantage of atomic commits and if
anything goes wrong, it can be reverted.
5. Leverage the benefits of svn's ease of maintaining
branches and merging them
6. Simplifies the merge process
7. trunk remains stable during the whole time
8. No surpises or mysteries
