Easiest for the maintainers/reviewers is obviously if you can split the
patch is functionally working subpatches that can be committed/approved
independently. Have you read http://gcc.gnu.org/contribute.html and/or
http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/doc/hacking.html ?

That said, just having the code all out there either as one big patch or
multiple small patches will be a great start.

I will be away traveling a lot the next 2.5 weeks. But I would love to
have a look at this while in the train, plane or in a lonely hotel room.
If you could just put this up somewhere or send me a big patch (off-list
if you think it isn't "clean" enough for public review) I promise to
give some feedback when I am back. (Although I am sure others will give
you comments before that.)
