Just running that now and the number of handles is steadily increasing.
I'll have a go at removing USE_GLOBAL_ALLOC to see if that makes a difference
- It certain does to the heap usage - I didn't however check the handles (I
now wish I'd of kept the build I accidentally did the other day without it!).
My test works fine on Linux, so it looks a lot like a win/mingw issue.
