- Subject: Announcing pLASTer (formerly "last")
Hello All,
I'd like to announce that the "pLASTer" project is now open on
sourceforge.
http://plaster.sourceforge.net
The project gui is create via the Java-Gnome bindings.
I'd soon like to add the project to the "[being] done
with gcj" section of the gcj site. This will take a little more time as I've
been too busy (and inexperienced) to research a proper gcc tools chain build
for the project. Although it should run with any of gij, Kaffe, SableVM; none
of these tested, though the project follows strict 1.3 java API in order
to ensure further/more-likely compatibility with any of these free VMS.
I'd also like to invite anyone on this list interested in the project to
give it a try (please be kind ;) ). Anyone interested in testing it with other
VMS are encouraged to do so.
I'm hoping that this will become one of the killer apps that attracts
attention for the Java-Gnome/gcj projects.
PS: Instructions are brief and not yet complete for getting to work with
pLASTer. These can be found on the site. Feel free to email me with any
questions/ideas/criticisms.
