Yesterday my dsl modem failed (and of course you can't buy
replacements locally), so I moved my bothner.com server to a
friend's. I've updated the nameservers ({ns1,ns2}.domainmonger.com
using domainmonger's "DNS Plus") but it seems many caches haven't
updated yet (or I need to do more). Email via gcc.gnu.org seems to
be getting through, though.

Bottom line: If you need to reach me in the next few days, try
sending to bothner@24.4.99.130.

It gets even more weird:

----- Transcript of session follows -----
550 5.1.2 <per@24.4.99.130>... Host unknown (Name server: 24.4.99.130:
host not found)

One thing you might look into is using an offsite backup mx.
changeip.com offers 10 meg of mail for only a couple bucks a year.
I use them as my backup mx. They retry deliveries every 15 minutes or so, so the minute your DSL modem gets back up, you have your mail.
