3.3 status - please help

The 3.3 release is coming along ok, but not great.
There are still 5 open bugs we'd like to have fixed. I have most of a
patch for one of them (8995), but I haven't had time to finish it;
worst case is we disable the direct-threaded interpreter for the
release. As far as I know nobody is working on the other 4 bugs.
There is a compiler failure when building rhug that nobody is
investigating, and there are a bunch of platforms nobody is testing
on. (At least Solaris 2.7 has some problems...)
Unlike the 3.1 release cycle, I don't have unlimited time to work on
this one. Anybody out there with some spare time who can help out a
bit?
