This procedure requires cross-compiling from linux; which is way, way better
than nothing at all. Is there any chance, however, that mingw could ever
natively build itself? That would truly be marvellous.
By the way, I will have to install linux somewhere anyway. It's somehow
inevitable, for some other stuff I want to do; but I'd rather do it later.
I'm already bogged with figuring out all this native stuff, SWT, all these
GNU tools, ar, ld, libtool, Red Hat's autobooks, libltdl, gcc's options,
CVS, not-your-grandmother's makefiles; and I'm still alive, but only just.
