pleas go ahead and do so, I'll restart a test build whenever your patch is
in.

That's a good point. I would urge anyone with such an arch to test your
suggested patch. Do you think you could check the sparc32 patch in, branch
and trunk, and then post a suggested patch of the sparc64 remains to
gcc-patches so we will be able to reference it to anyone able to test it?

BTW, thanks for your efforts in sorting this out, easy solved but a long
way :-)
