I don't see a problem here with my build.
I don't think the compiler version will matter.
I think this patch shouldn't be necessary.
GCJVERSION should be set by configure.
There is an AC_DEFINE_UNQUOTED for it.
You can look in include/config.h in the libjava build tree to see the
setting it gets. Mine looks like this:
/* Define to version of GCJ in use. */
#define GCJVERSION "3.1"
PREFIX should be set by Makefile.am.
One way to find out what is going wrong would be to run the
natSystem.cc compilation command with -E. Then look at the
preprocessed output to see what really happened. It should be pretty
easy to work backwards from there.
