Hi! Yeah, I noticed the snapshot update. I'm not working on the gcj
stuff, but I was NOT able to get passed the C++ tests after I built the
compiler. The build went smoothly, but one of the locale tests in
libstdc++-v3 ran for about 14+ hours before I killed the make.
No biggie, I'm just passing this info on. I am NOT you guys to do anything
about this. I'll get myself subscribed to one of the gcc mailing lists and
ask a question there.
Peace.....
Tom

FYI, snapshots from the GCC 3.0 branch have started appearing:
ftp://ftp.freesoftware.com/pub/sourceware/gcc/snapshots/
The 2001-03-05 snapshot ought to be working pretty nicely, at least on
the common platforms (powerpc linux still needs some patches as
mentioned in previous threads, and Irix is known to be broken due to
the "args too long" issue). I encourage those of you who don't use cvs
to download it and report back any problems you encounter... more
testing, of course, will result in a better 3.0!
