I can't reproduce this with gcj 3.1 (the current cvs).
I also can't reproduce it with gcj 3.0 (the latest release).
So I think this has already been fixed.
I'm closing this PR. However, if you can find a way
to reproduce the problem with a newer gcj, tell me and
I will reopen it.
