Good question.  The only currently known class to cause a problem is
java.util.logging.Logger.  I can't recall when the change to Logger
that exposed this problem was introduced but I think it may have been
after 4.0 (since Mohan has been doing mingw builds of GCC 4.0 for a
while now, I am inclined to think it was introduced after the split). 
I'll check.

If it does need to be checked in to the 4.0 branch, I'm going to need
to bust out the Subversion book...
