Thanks.  I didn't realize it was necessary :-(

When I posted the other patches and got approval for them, I still had
libtool 1.3.5 in mind.  Unfortunately, libtool 1.4a required some
additional configury tweaking, whose dependency I had failed to notice
:-(

I'm really embarrassed for having broken the libgcj tree so much :-(

I promise to be more careful in the future :-)
