Thank you DJ. I downloaded beta/v2gnu/gcc480s.zip from a mirror, and
that compiles. And, indeed, the file gcc/config/i386/djgpp.h is
different from the one in the official gcc-4.8.0.tar.bz2, meaning that
some DJGPP patches are not present upstream.
Forgot to say that I also had to apply this patch
