Nekochan has newer versions of GNU software than the SGI site has.
thanks for the pointer. Looking at both the old SGI site and Nekochan,
I am wondering whether we shouldn't just replace the former by the later.
If it were me, I would put both links. The SGI link is useful
because some people (e.g., corporate IS departments) might trust
the packaging from the SGI Mother Ship more than the independent
efforts on the nekochan group.
OTOH, the SGI freeware site is frozen, and nekochan is where much of
the real freeware development for IRIX is.
