I don't even think this qualifies as a bug.  It's basically an
enhancement request, to have a clean way of supporting glibc in
an unusual place.  You tried a hand-edit, and it didn't work as
expected, and you filed a bug.  Now you're bringing it up in a
thread about release-blocking bugs?
