Is there a reason why you want to use a 6 1/2 year old compiler?
(While 2.95.3 was released in 2001, it is basically a small patch to
2.95.2, from 1999, issued to address an incompatibility with the C
library on GNU/Linux systems).
The problem with asking for help with such an old version is that even the
developers who worked on it and are still around have forgotten the
details.
