For the record, there is also FP emulation code in the gdb simulator. See the gdb src/sim/commom/sim-fpu.c file. This code was originally taken from gcc's fp-bit.c, and has since been significantly improved both for speed and accuracy. It is quite a bit better than what we have in fp-bit.c.
