Re: svn diff branch woprking copy against mainline?

Hmm, that finds a lot more, although not specific to options.
I've found one thread that seems slightly relevant, Diff syntax changes for issue #1093 . <http://subversion.tigris.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=48614>
I get the impression that you devise neat ways to navigate precisely through multiple
time dimensions. By all means, do that, but please don't use up the very option letters that
cvs uses to do commonplace repository navigation with.
An ordinary tag is a static thing; you don't expect it to change over time. An ordinary
branch will be present in the head revision. With a suitable repository layout, and some
descriptive config files, the -r option should give capabilities comparable to cvs.
I suppose it doesn't matter if numerical arguments to -r are always pure operational versions,
but you should be able to name a branch/tag and thus imply a root directory for the location,
in the current head revision unless modified with @rev-number (on the branch name) or -D.

As I said in another post, I don't want to repeat past dev@subversion.tigris.org discussions on this list (and yes, you're talking about things we've already discussed to death. :)

So why is there no pointer in the FAQ to these posts?
