Hey, I already had that thought, I don't want to see all your tags in
my tags directory! :-)

2. All the old old-gcc tags should go in a subdirectory named "old-
gcc".
I'm not so sure about that. All the release tags, should go together
as a unit, no matter if they came from old or new. All old things
(ss- tags) should be put together (or removed in bulk) (again, no
matter it they are old or new).
