Just finished and it defaults to -m32:
sparc64-t2-linux-gnu-gcc -dumpspecs | grep -A 1 multilib_default
*multilib_defaults:
m32
Linking 32 and 64 bit libtraries worked for hello-world.c style programs.
Whether it survives a system bootstrap takes some time to find out @
360Mhz ...
