Are you objecting to the absence of "that" after "recommend"?
I don'tWell, the sentence seems lopsided to me without the "that". But then, I prefer "it's not as weird as all that" to "it's not that weird", at least in formal communication. Maybe I'm just weird myself.
personally find that infelicitous (and find the version with a "that"
excessively verbose) but I wouldn't be surprised if other dialects of
English held the opposite perspective.
